The Snowmads Philosophy
The idea behind Snowmads is to connect the passion for skiing, traveling and experiencing new cultures.
Snowmads is a common project of Austrian pro freeskier and adventurer Fabian Lentsch and Karin Lechner, head of Athlete Management agency NINE&ONE. Back in 2015 Fabi and his long time skiing buddy Markus „Moggä“ Ascher started the eight month long process to refurbish an old fire truck and so created an outstanding travel vehicle for up to eight people. In the early stages of the Snowmads, their passion for skiing and traveling already took them on long adventurous trips to Iran, Georgia or Greece – always on the hunt for the perfect pow. All those trips are covered by a professional media crew to spread the Snowmads message, share adventures with the community and give an idea on how traveling can be more sustainable those days. With the production of movies, vlogs, stories and photographs, you can follow the Snowmads on their trips and soak up the emotions of skiing, traveling and experiencing new cultures far away from home.

The idea and the people behind Snowmads
Of course you can always check where conditions are good right now on this globe and travel there in a maximum of two days. But that’s far off the idea of Snowmads. Snowmads stands for slow and intense traveling, for experiencing the life and adventures on the road and discovering new mountain ranges and skiable lines away from the popular and easy accessible destinations.
In times of living fast and rushing through our world, Snowmads wants to provide different ideas and perspectives of traveling, extreme sports and culture. Snowmads also includes the idea of finding a way of traveling that is, seen on mother nature and our environment, friendlier than hopping on a plane.
